So, I downloaded the above zip file, extracted it to my desktop, created a "jdk" directory and moved the "bin" folder inside it, then ran the uninstaller again. There is a DLL that the installer uses to make (and remove during an uninstall) the registry entries. For those of you that don't know about Java Error 1723, let me explain. I tried using the recommended fix, it didn't work, and the multiple Windows technicians they tried to do the same thing.

So as soon as you follow the recommendation to remove older versions it actually removes Java but leaves the registry entries behind so you then have a really annoyed machine and I assume that I downloaded an update or something that makes my registry entry different.
