yea this message seems to mean that my machine died. The white piece at the right that slides back to front was stuck to the pad where the printhead is stored, and the "squeegee" was keeping the carriage from moving left I pushed the white mechanism towards the back of the printer along it's track and out popped a tiny wad of paper. You'll know you're close when you get ink all over I read this post, looked in there with a flash light.

Again look for some scrap of paper or paper clip, staple or anything that could have made its way into the unit. Canon Mp600 Error Code 6a00 Can you push a small piece of heavy paper or card through the paper path to check that it is completely clear of debris? Also, please "help us help you" by updating your profile with location and refilling-related info, especially printer(s).

You will have to figure out where the lever belongs and lift it back in place.

Power on, power off makes no difference. Any how, I simply moved the cartrige, saw it, removed it and powered off and on, and it worked! Reinstalled and had this error for the print head.Found this page and then found some strange little square of plaastic paper stuck in the white roller mechanism. The “L” shaped piece was moved forward out of its place.

But at the end of the routine it sounds as if a 'sheet feeder' is jammed which doesn't appear to be the case. I looked to the right side where the printhead seats itself. The spring wasn't strong enough to over come the gluey ink and so the whole thing jammed up which is probably what the code means - jammed mechanism. Thanks!

I had a problem w/ a Pixma ip6600D... You can take these printheads out quite easily. replied5 years ago.
