Is "Windows Internet Explorer 8" not listed in Add/Remove Programs, is it listed but there's not a REMOVE button, or can't you uninstall IE8 via clicking on the REMOVE button? After that date, computers running WinXP > (x86) SP2 will NOT be offered any further critical security updates, > Automatic Updates will not work, and Windows Update website will not be IE 9 and IE 10 keep crashing on Windows 7 even after driver display updated.
