This is done so you as the website admin have full control over what files you want to share.   5. It is likely that the script is timing out whilst trying to re-size the image to thumbnail, I have had this before with slightly corrupt image files.

what could be the issue? But my customer will refuse to go to another site to view his photos, not to mention having Picasa logos etc. (I have never had difficulty with WP Image uploader myself). Is there a way to manually FTP an image file into the media database? There are how much impact on server performance the other 1400+ sites on that server have. You can only upload photos smaller than 5 MB.
