This is yet another reason to try and keep a single Apple ID in use for all of your user activity, though there are certainly times where that's not possible, particularly It's not like I can't download anything from the App store at all, so why the issue with the OS download? That actually exacerbated the problem yesterday. Been having very slow downloads of late of both my betas and updates of OSX. Having experienced this error message myself not long ago when updating apps on a Mac, and some time in the past when updating OS X, we received a question on Twitter Ultimately, going into the App Store application and clicking Store | Sign Out did the trick.
